Confession - Facebook games

Dear interweb,

A couple of years ago I had a FB-page, but because I just didn't get it at all I erased the whole thing from the interweb. Another reason for that was that I already had a social profilepage, on Hyves. Also, I found that FB was just to diicult to understand, I think I wasn't ready for the experience yet. But Christmas 2008 I saw all my cousins playing these games and it looked like fun, so I created a new page and joined in (while at this moment, I deleted my Hyves-page). I was hooked (and got them hooked too) on Cafe World and later I started playing FV too. In between then and now I tried various games, but actually I just put time into CW. A couple of months ago I discovered a new game: Market Street and that was also a lot of fun.

But I also started noticing that I play these things a lot. So I told myself: if this becomes a constant/automatic pilot, I need to rethink this. So last weekend I just said: I quit this game and send this message into a last gift-message to all my friends, cleared it from my profile and unliked everything.

So yeah, it can be controlling your life. I wouldn't call myself an ex-addict, but it was indeed something that had too much influence on my life.

Peace...and out,
Shade
